Daniel 12:1b "And at that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book."
• The 'book' the angel is referring to in the Old Testament, is the 'Book of Life', simply the 'Book', or the 'Book of the Living'. In the New Testament it's also referred to as the 'Lamb’s Book of Life' which denotes the blood Christ (the Lamb of God) spilt in behalf of those recorded.
To answer the question concerning whose names are written in the Book of Life we have to first establish just what the Book of Life is. The Book of Life is a book written and kept by God in which He has recorded the name of EVERY person who has ever been conceived and/or born. Now I know there are going to be some who disagree with that statement, including some of my Southern Baptist friends and others who say that your name is added to the Book of Life at the point of conversion, but let me show you from God's word WHY I say this.
In Exodus 32:31-33 Moses speaks to God “And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.” [KJV] Here Moses asks God to blot out his name from the Book of Life in order to spare those Israelites who had sinned against Him. Here we know he’s just speaking of his Hebrew countrymen. And he goes on to pray “And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” [KJV] God says that He and He alone will determine, according to those who willfully sin against Him, whose name will remain or be blotted out of the Book of Life.
